Silver County Review

Editorial policy

Silver County Review aims to be careful, clear and open about how its editorial work is made. We distinguish what an article can support from what remains uncertain, and welcome readers who notice a mistake.

Accuracy and context

We check names, terms and factual statements before publication, using sources suited to the subject and explaining context where it changes how an object should be understood. We avoid treating a general description as proof about a particular item. Articles are written to inform and invite close attention, not to provide professional appraisal or other specialist services.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not as a hidden extension of a commercial relationship. Paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and editorial coverage is not presented as an endorsement.

Corrections

If you think an article contains an error, use the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review specific, substantiated corrections, amend copy when warranted and make the correction clear where appropriate. We distinguish factual corrections from requests to change an interpretation or opinion.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence that a pictured object exists or that a depicted detail is historically exact. We aim to make their illustrative role clear and do not use them as a substitute for factual support.

Our point of view

Objects tell their stories through use

Silver is material, craft and memory at once. We pay attention to what an object is made to do, how it is made, and the meanings people give it.
